Batterer’s Intervention

The Duluth Model Batterer’s Intervention Classes provide a structured and comprehensive approach to addressing domestic violence and abusive behavior. Based on the Duluth Model, which identifies power and control as the root causes of intimate partner violence, these classes offer education, accountability, and support for individuals who have perpetrated violence in their relationships. Led by trained facilitators, participants engage in discussions, exercises, and skill-building activities aimed at challenging harmful beliefs, learning non-violent communication techniques, and developing healthy coping strategies. Through a combination of psychoeducation and group dynamics, participants are encouraged to take responsibility for their actions, understand the impact of their behavior on others, and work towards meaningful behavior change. The Duluth Model Batterer’s Intervention Classes provide a structured pathway towards building healthier, non-violent relationships and breaking the cycle of abuse.
